How EsgaSIS works
We cannot answer that, and you should be wary of any software that says it can — acceptance is the decision of whoever asked you, against criteria they set. What we can tell you is exactly what the report contains and what it leaves out, so you can put that in front of them before you do the work. For a mandatory filing the answer is clearer: those carry assurance requirements this product does not meet.
The useful move is to ask the person who asked you. It takes one email, it is a reasonable question, and the answer changes what you need to produce. Most requesters have a specific list and will tell you.
| Who is asking | What to ask them |
|---|---|
| A customer’s procurement questionnaire | Send the boundary, the factor list and the claim, and ask whether that answers their question. This is the request the product is built for. |
| A tender or a bank | Which framework they require, and whether they need the figures assured. Both are usually written in the documents. |
| A large customer’s Scope 3 programme | What data quality they accept from suppliers. Many publish a tier and will accept a supplier-reported figure at this level. |
| An SGX or Bursa filing | Nothing to ask. Those are ISSB-aligned filings with assurance requirements, and this product does not meet them. |
| Anything requiring limited or reasonable assurance | Nothing to ask. An assurance provider has to be engaged separately. |
What the report gives a reviewer: every figure traces to a named factor with a publisher and a vintage; the factor is snapshotted onto the entry, so the figure reproduces later even after the registry is corrected; the claim is the same on every report and is not something you can select; missing data is recorded as a stated exclusion rather than estimated to fill a total; and the software refuses to publish on an unverified factor.
What a sustainability professional will raise, and should: the report is not externally assured, Scope 2 is location-based only, there is no base year so GRI 305-5 stays empty in a first report, and some Scope 3 lines use spend-based proxies. All four are stated in the report itself rather than left to be discovered.
