About EsgaSIS

Why ZYT built this, how it fits our approach, and what it deliberately will not do.

Sustainability is not a reporting exercise

Most sustainability work starts as something a business has to do — a customer questionnaire, a tender requirement, a compliance deadline. It becomes a taskforce, then a checklist, then a burden nobody asked for. The reporting gets done and nothing about the business changes.

ZYT Pte. Ltd. is a boutique Sustainability Facilitator, and our approach starts from a different premise: sustainability is a competitive advantage, not a compliance cost. We call it the 3As Ambition gives purpose, Alignment creates ownership, Activation delivers value. The full argument is on zyt.one.

EsgaSIS is what Activation looks like when you build it into software. Not a place to type up a report at the end of the year — a control centre where the data lives, the gaps are visible, and the work sits with the people who actually do it.

Start with your utility bills. Build from there.

You do not need an ESG team to begin. You need your electricity bill.

Answer three to five questions and you get a one-page carbon footprint: the figure, the emission factors behind it, and a stated boundary — enough to answer the customer who asked. No account, no cost. It is a real calculation using the same engine as everything else here, and it says plainly what it does not cover.

From there it builds. A full inventory is collected across eight clusters, each named for the person who holds that data rather than for a GHG Protocol scope. Nobody in a small business knows what Scope 3 Category 5 means; the kitchen supervisor knows where the gas bill is. Each cluster is delegable by a link that expires — the person who receives it needs no account and sees only their own part.

That is Alignment made operational. Without it, sustainability belongs to “the sustainability person” and stops the day they leave. The scopes are still computed, and a GRI-aligned sustainability report comes out of the same data — but the report is a by-product of the discipline, not the point of it.

What this deliberately will not do

A limitation found by a reviewer costs more than one we disclosed ourselves.

  • No assurance. Figures are self-reported and unaudited. Assurance is a separate engagement with a qualified provider, and we never present this as one.
  • No invented numbers. Where no defensible emission factor exists, no figure is produced and the exclusion is recorded with its reason. A Malaysian business is never asked about waste, because Malaysia publishes no per-tonne landfill factor — substituting Singapore’s incineration model would not be an approximation, it would be the wrong model.
  • No choosing your own claim level. Whether a report is “in accordance with” or “with reference to” the GRI Standards is derived from what the data supports and recomputed server-side. It is not a setting.

The full list is on the methodology page, and the longer argument is in what this service does not do.

Who builds it

ZYT Pte. Ltd., Singapore (UEN 202424324W). Our team brings firsthand experience from manufacturing, distribution, systems integration and the end-user’s side of the table, gained over 40+ years — which is why this is built around how a business actually works rather than around the shape of a standard.

About the mark

The hummingbird is there for precision. It is the only bird that can hold a position in moving air and adjust in both directions while doing it — roughly what this work asks of a small business, at a granularity larger organisations hire departments for. It is not a claim about anyone’s environmental impact, including ours.

EsgaSIS is one of ZYT’s platforms. TavaSIS covers GSTC certification for tourism operators.
